St Nicholas Buccleuch is a Union of St Nicholas and Buccleuch Church (Itself a union between the West Parish Church and The Buccleuch Church) The building which was used was the West Church. The West Church building was closed and subsequently sold. All the glass was removed from the West Church and installed in St Nicholas Buccleuch. East Window, South Transept. The Chapel was built by Sir Frances and Lady Tudsbery in memory of their son, Robin, who was killed in Germany in the last days of the Second World War. McLELLAN, S: Series of nine windows, depicting incidents from Pilgrim's Progress, "a good illustration of a young soldier's life". Pilgrim, with his heavy burden of sin on his back. His rescue from the Slough of Despond. The Cross beyond the Wicket Gate'. Pilgrim is freed from his load. Pilgrim is fitted for his journey with the Scroll and Armour by Piety, Charity and Prudence. (Illustrated) Pilgrim is confronted by Apollyon. Pilgrim escaping from Doubting Castle of the Giant Despair. Pilgrim at his trial in the town of Vanity.
