1-l, 1958. In memory of the Rev. Dr Kenneth MacLeod, who collaborated with Mrs Kennedy Fraser in her  Songs of The Hebrides" collections and where he was minister for many years. The principal figure is King David, but there are also some Celtic saints, such as St Columba and St Bride (foster mother of Christ in Celtic legend, says Bessie), whose nameday was the same day as his birthday.
