among Dearle's most attractive achievements, with its beautifully drawn and gracefully characterized women in the side lights; but even here Dearle's limitations are obvious, for the figure of Christ is weak and characterless, and the babes are singularly without charm." Sewter.
Dearle reused the design 2 years later at Swinton.
