Great West window, with central picture of Nativity. South Transept window, gift of the 1st Lord Forteviot, shows 4 prophets (Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekial and Daniel), carrying symbols of their prophecies and wearing haloes instead of the more usual hats or turbans. The North Transept window, given by Lord Dewar, is similar to the the South one but the figures are prophetesses: Deborah, Hulda, Miriam and Anna, again with haloes, and with scenes from the prophesies in medallions below. In the Nave, 4 more of his windows: the Stirton window in the North Aisle depicts St Elizabeth teaching John the Baptist to read, with the lamb at her feet. In the South Aisle is the Cowan window, showing St Andrew fishing in the sea, and a panel below shows Christ calling Andrew and Simon. The other light has St Columba with, below, the crossing from Ireland in a coracle. Next to the Cowan window is the Ritchie window with the 2 St Johns (Baptist and Divine) and small panels below. To the West is the Freemason window with Moses and Aaron. KEMP, M: The Paton window at the East end of the North choir chapel - shows a blind boy led by a woman and St Luke holding hands out in welcome - 1920s. The Carmichael window in the West wall of the South Aisle with a Nativity above Moses leading Children of Israel. MEIKLE, Wm & Sons: 4-l Aisle East Church War Memorial Window of 1921 depicts Truth, Sacrifice, Immortality and Freedom. SALVIN, H: 2-l West North choir aisle, semi-abstract. 1975. STRACHAN, D: 5-l East window of the Choir - 3 main lights of the upper portion show Crucifixion, St Mary, St John, 2 outer lights show John the Baptist (to whom the church is dedicated) baptising Christ and preaching, and all 5 bottom lights show Last Supper ("one of the finest works of the leader of the renaissance of Scottish glass painting" NAMMacK) 1920. 2-l window in West wall, South Transept of Adoration of the Maji, 1944. WILSON, W: 2-l and Tracery memorial to the 6th Battalion, the Black Watch: on left, a soldier in scarlet, and behind St George, on right a soldier in khaki and behind St Andrew. 1955; 2-l North Nave Aisle Macnab window, showing St Nicholas as bishop with an anchor (patron of fishermen) and a fir tree (Santa). GILFILLAN, A: War memorial depicting resurrected Christ with Ss Andrew and John, with an airman and a soldier kneeling at their feet. 1950s? "After the merger of this Church [Wilson} and another two the window was taken out and releaded into a larger space surrounding it by clear quarries - this being one of the conditions of the merger. This Church originally the West Church was renamed St Mathews in Tay St." Gilfillan

Victorian? 3-l & tracery, North wall Centre, "They also serve" depicting Ss Margaret of Scotland, Elizabeth of Hungary, Catherine of Siena, in memory of Elizabeth Lindsay Watson. 3-l & tracery North Wall West "Gloria in excelsis Deo" window: Christ, St Andrew, St Ninian's Cathedral, St Andrew's Cathedral, St George (?). In memory of Thomas Truman Oliphant 1839 - 1902 "given by many friends". 4-l & tracery West Window in memory of David Carnegie 1890. Subjects: 3-l South Aisle West Window, Black Watch window commemorating Boer War. 3-l & tracery South Wall West. Good Shepherd, Suffer Little Children, Nunc Dimitus; gift of the Children of the churches in the Diocese of St Andrew 1891. 3-l & tracery South wall East depicting "She is not dead but slleping", "I am the Resurrection and the Life" and "Young man I say unto thee Arise" in memory of the "beloved children of George, twelfth Earl of Kinnaird and his wife Emily Blanche Charlotte" Much repaired. Curious - it appears to list the children as George Robert, Francis, George * Alistair George * Claude George. Several of the people in the window look like they could be the children and the father? Chapel 3 windows each 3-l central depicting Mary and Child, surrounded by Misc. Saints. 2-l "Mine eyes have seen the Glory". COMPER, N: 3-l & tracery, North Wall East, life of St Ninian and coats of arms. In memory of Walter, Lord Forbes and George Frederick, Earl of Glasgow, founders of the church, 1891.
