CALLANDER

3-l window above the choir. Dedicated 15th May 1921 to those who died in WWI, theme of love and sacrifice. Left window has at top descent of the Spirit (dove) onto Mary and child Jesus, and below them Abraham's sacrifice of Isaac (illustrated); centre window has Lamb of God (lamb to the slaughter) then Jesus with crown of thorns, above the story of David refusing to drink from the well; right window has John (writer of Book of Revelation) above the Transfiguration, with Moses and Elijah at Jesus' feet. Window particularly in memory of John and Victor Campbell. (Apparently there is a specially produced leaflet with more information about the windows, written by the Rev. Dr. R M Macdonald, who was present at that Service of Commemoration.)
